Catch the Magic – There’s still plenty of time!

The Festival is now well underway. The countless positive comments and generous donations we’ve received have been greatly appreciated. We hope that you will find time throughout the hectic Christmas season to take even just a few moments to slow down and enjoy all that the Festival has to offer.

Perhaps you will share a romantic evening for two with a delightful dinner and relaxing horse and carriage ride through the lights. Or, bring the entire family, stroll along the streets downtown and have a game of Find Your Favourite Display. We are pretty confident that it won’t be in the same spot as last year! Maybe a quiet, slow drive through Harrison Park to watch the snow fall on the largest displays is more to your liking?

However you decide to spend your time with us, we hope that you enjoy the Festival and that it takes you back to a simplier time when being with those you love was the true meaning of Christmas!

All the best to you and yours from your friends at the Festival of Northern Lights!

Thanks for another amazing Opening Night!

The Festival of Northern Lights Board of Directors and Special Events Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for yet another spectacular Opening Night!

Thank you to JD Moffat, Owen Sound City Band, Klash the Clown, the Eighth Street Orchestra, Jeff Clarmo and the team from North Star Fireworks Entertainment, the family of the Margaret Post and Fay Harshman whose presence made the night so special.

To all of our volunteers who spend countless hours each year preparing for this faithful night. The City of Owen Sound employees who always go above and beyond to make the Festival possible year after year. We would not be the success we are without such a dedicated group of people.

Last but certainly not least, all of you who took time out of your busy lives to come and help kick off our 27th season with a bang and a flip of a switch. It was great to see all of you there. Hearing all of the comments amongst the crowd and seeing everyone enjoying themselves made all the hard work worthwile.

Here’s to the last 26 and many more yet to come!
